Project Boutique Hotel
My client's concept drew inspiration from Toronto's Distillery District for the design of Room No. 5 of his boutique hotel. The Distillery District was built between 1859-1900 and was comprised of 40 buildings from the Gooderham and Worts Distillery. Over time the buildings have been updated and modernized while keeping their industrial aesthetic, leaving beautiful open concept structures with large areas of exposed brick and beams. The design style is now quintessential industrial and is the inspiration for Room No. 5. This room is spacious, minimalistic and gives an overall warm and cozy feeling through a multitude of textures and warm hues. Additionally, a variety of reclaimed wood and naturally sourced materials were used to deliver a true industrial feel.
